PARCEL POST: Shipments that can be packed with no more than 108 inches
maximum length plus girth can be shipped via Parcel Post if the weight does not
exceed 70 pounds. Parcel Post shipments may be prepaid, C.O.D., or paid with
Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card. On Parcel Post shipments for which funds
are remitted with the order for the amount of the merchandise, it is suggested
an allowance be made for the amount of postage and insurance charges. On
C.O.D. shipments, the amount of the mailing charges will be added to the C.O.D.
amount. Parcel Post shipments cannot exceed $600.00 per parcel. On credit card
purchases, postage will be charged to your credit card.
MOTOR FREIGHT: Shipments made by truck will be sent freight collect to
areas permitted. (NOTE: The New York metro area will not accept freight collect
shipments.) Orders from areas where freight must be prepaid should be accompanied
by sufficient funds to prepay freight or payment can be made with Visa,
MasterCard or Discover Card. Most truck lines will accept C.O.D. shipments. At
this time, most freight companies charge a C.O.D. fee of at least $35 or 10 to 12
percent of the C.O.D. amount, whichever is higher. Unless otherwise specified,
we will attempt to use American or Yellow Freight Lines.
UNITED PARCEL SERVICE (UPS): UPS is available from Denver, Colorado
to all of the continental United States. This includes regular surface UPS, Orange
(3 day), Blue Label (2nd Day), and Next Day service. Blue Label service is available
to Hawaii and limited areas of Alaska. Check your local office for specific
details on requirements and what UPS service is available. Blue Label and Next
Day service will be used when requested and where available. Maximum size
for UPS shipments is 130 inches in length and girth combined with weight not
exceeding 150 pounds per parcel. All packages over 1 cubic foot will be dimensionalized.
UPS shipments in the U.S., can be made on a C.O.D. basis with
payment to be made by certified check; the same as required for Parcel Post and
other transportation companies. UPS has extended services all over the world.
AIR FREIGHT: Shipments will be sent freight collect, when possible, on air
freight shipments. Please state the airport to which the shipment is to be sent
and give your phone number if you want to be notified by phone upon shipment
arrival. UNIVAIR delivers air freight shipments to the air freight offices in Denver
to save you pick-up charges and you can save delivery charges by picking
up your shipment at the destination airport.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS; Due to the prohibitive cost of shipping,
packaging, documentation and the inability to ship via air freight, hazardous
materials i.e., paint and dope cannot be exported.
DISCOUNTS: Dealer discounts are allowed to bonafide aircraft sales and
service organizations, schools, colleges and government agencies. Sales tax
exemptions and repair station numbers must be furnished to qualify for dealer
discounts.
METHODS OF PAYMENT: Company or personal checks on pre-paid orders,
MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card, money orders, certified or cashiers checks,
and Letters of Credit are acceptable methods of payment. Payment should cover
the cost of the merchandise, plus packing (when applicable) and freight charges.
Pro forma invoices sent upon request. Payment sent with the order will save a
C.O.D. fee. Transportation charges both ways, plus a restocking charge, will
be invoiced to the consignee when shipments are refused. Personal checks will
not be accepted on C.O.D. orders. MasterCard, Visa and Discover Card orders
that have had authorization denied will be sent C.O.D. if we cannot contact the
customer by telephone.
OPEN ACCOUNTS: Bonafide aircraft sales and service organizations having
established credit with UNIVAIR will be shipped on a 30-day open account payable
net 10th Proximo. Interest is charged on overdue accounts and the account
will be closed if not paid by the due date. Open accounts are not established for
individuals because of the cost of maintaining an infrequently used account.
CRATING CHARGE: No crating charge is made except on large items such
as wings, fuselages, flat aluminum, and very large items. All shipments sent via
Ocean Freight will have a crating charge.
FREIGHT AND POSTAGE RATES: UNIVAIR does not list in our Catalog
charts for figuring freight and postal rates. It is difficult to determine beforehand
how many parcels will be in an order and what the box weight will be. Dimensional
restrictions or hazardous classifications may be the determining factor in
how an item must be shipped. Some mail order companies that have a postage
rate chart may have inflated figures to compensate for oversize and multiple
packages. The airlines and motor freight companies do not distribute their rate
information, so the freight or postage paid by you is the actual cost. If we receive
a bulk rate from a particular carrier, we pass the savings on to you. If you have
specific questions concerning shipping, please contact us.
RETURNED GOODS: All items returned to UNIVAIR for a refund or credit
must be authorized in advance. There will be a 10% restock charge assessed if it
is determined that UNIVAIR is not at fault.
RUSH ORDERS AND ORDER PROCESSING: Due to the volume, size,
and research involved in processing orders, it normally takes two to four days to
process orders for which we have stock. Rush A.O.G. orders must be placed
before noon Mountain Time in order to ship the same day. Rush orders must
be sent via UPS Blue Label, Next Day, Air Freight or air express courier. At
present, UNIVAIR does not charge a special A.O.G. fee. Please limit your Rush
orders to actual ¡°Aircraft On Ground¡± situations.
EXPORT SHIPMENT: C.O.D. shipments cannot be made to Canada. No
C.O.D. Parcel Post shipments can be made outside the U.S. and its possessions.
International Parcel Post limits vary from country to country. Maximum weight
is 44 pounds for most countries, with some countries being 22 pounds. Check
with your postal authorities. No charge is made for packing Parcel Post, Air
shipments, and most truck shipments. Packing charges will be assessed on ocean
freight shipments and on large items such as wings and fuselages, shipped by
any method. An export documentation fee of 3% of the total order cost will be
charged with a minimum of $3.00. Orders to France will be charged an additional
$ .75 per item due to extra documentation requirements by French aviation
authorities. To avoid delays in shipping, send payment in U.S. funds with your
order. All prices are F.O.B. Aurora, Colorado. We will ship to your broker if you
